Princeton Preschool Summer Camp Adventures – Just for Kids 2–5 Years Old!

Seven weeks of kids day school camps – responsibly supervised by PJS teachers!

The PJS Preschool Summer Camp Program encourages your child to develop  independence, self-confidence, and an awareness of the surrounding world – all while making new friends and having tons of fun!

Each day school camp is open to both enrolled PJS students, and children from our  surrounding communities…Princeton, Pennington, Hopewell, Lawrenceville, West Windsor, Yardley, New Hope, and beyond.

While your child will be thrilled with the adventures that wait ahead, you may be  thrilled to know that each camp is run by certified PJS teachers.

So our preschool camps feature true learning along with the laughs…and are supervised by  counselors with professional knowledge and experience working with young children.

Our teachers will immerse your child in daily projects and theme-related activities, Circle Time, meal time and play time on the adjacent playground.

Each preschool summer camp focuses on a different theme.

Themes for Summer 2011 (Summer 2012 Schedule Coming Soon!):

Week 1: Messy, Messy Art (7/5-7/8)
Your child will explore artistic expression through body painting, confetti collage, and other fun ways to get messy while creating lifetime keepsakes!

Week 2: Young Authors (7/11-7/15)
If your child loves to read, we’ve got a treasure trove of age-appropriate books. He or she will also learn to create original stories – and the week concludes with a Publishing Party for each child’s original book!

Week 3: Journey to Outer Space (7/18-7/22)
A week of Astronaut School awaits your child, as we learn about the moon and stars, create our own telescopes and planetarium – and even build a rocket ship!

Week 4: The Wonders of Water (7/25-7/29)
How cool is it, literally, to explore water in during a hot, hot summer?! Your child will marvel at freezing, melting, bubbles, and other watery phenomena. Bring a swimsuit for some refreshing water play!

Week 5: Dinosaurs Roar! (8/1-8/5)
Your child will study ancient herbivores and carnivores, unearth fossils – and make some too! And we’ll create our very own prehistoric park with original papier-mâché replicas!

Week 6: The Young Naturalist (8/8-8/12)
Nature will be your child’s classroom, as we observe the “wild kingdom” through experiments, habitat visitations, and nature walks. We will emphasize conservation and living as one with flora and fauna.

Week 7: Construct It (8/15-8/19)
Your child will design eye-popping structures, using as many materials and methods as we can imagine. Each young architect will use glue and tape to build imaginative buildings of tomorrow!

  • All camps run 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Before and After Care is available: 8:00am – 8:30am and 3:00pm-5:30pm
  • 10% Sibling Discount!

BONUS CAMP! "Summer Fun” for PJS Students & Camp Alumni!

Open to all enrolled PJS students, ages 2-5 year old, and any non-PJS student, ages 2-5 years old, who attended any of this year’s summer camps. While still educational and full of involvement, this camp is less structured and not themed. Just a relaxed, fun-filled way to end the summer before the start of a new school year.

“This school is very special to all my family. The academic lessons taught here will last a lifetime.”
PJS Staff and Parent
“One of my favorite times of the day is dismissal…listening to the children laughing or discussing their day...There is just such a warm welcoming feeling that comes over me every time I walk through the front door.”
Parent of Alumna and
Grade I Student
“I loved learning about the rainforest (my favorite animals were the Toucan and the Harpee Eagle) and studying about the life of Benjamin Franklin and then telling the K Class about him.”
Grade II Student
At PJS…“I’ve learned to accept everybody for who they are and not to judge people just for what they like or what they do.”
Grade V Student
“PJS teachers have the time, inclination and encouragement to tailor their approach to each child. The work is demanding, but creative….The strong emphasis on helping children to speak up and present their ideas, the creative aspects and the solid preparation for the next step are hugely important.”
Parent of Alumna
